Synopsis

It’s the biggest day of their best friends’ lives… and they might just ruin it.

Andi hates weddings. So when her best friend Alex tells her she’s getting married in Italy, and asks her to be her maid of honour, she knows she’s the wrong woman for the job. But Alex won’t take no for an answer, and so begins a week-long trip to a beautiful villa in Italy, full of potential disasters that it’s Andi’s job to avoid. But what if she’s the one causing them?

Enter Owen, fellow wedding-hater, Best Man and also the worst person for the job. Tall, sexy and warm, Andi can’t help but feel the ice around her heart begin to melt when he’s around. But as Andi and Owen grow closer, the disasters begin to multiply, try as they might to keep them at bay. Together, can they put their feelings aside and pull off a successful wedding for those they love most?

My Review of The (Anti) Wedding Party

Main character, Andi catches her fiancee Hannah cheating with their maid of honour on their wedding day, understandably her life is shattered, as well as her view on love and marriage. So, when her best friend Alex announces her week-long wedding celebrations in Italy and asks Andi to be her maid of honour understandably Andi is not exactly enthusiastic about it.

Lucky for her, the best man Owen also hates weddings and also is not a fan of the whole love, marriage and relationship thing. Over the week, both Andi and Owen carry out their duties as maid of honour and best man. As they begin to spend more and more time together, it is clear there is chemistry between the two of them. Can either of them put their feelings about love behind them, or are they both destined to never find true love again?

The (Anti) Wedding Party is a cute and light-hearted story, although I have to say, I found the character of Andi quite self-obsessed and not the nicest of characters, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this book.
