Synopsis

“The photography conference simmered with talent: those who had it, those who wanted it, and those who would always suck no matter how hard they tried. Stella Price wondered where she fell on that scale.”

Stella is determined to become a successful wedding photographer, even if it means learning from Connor Knight, a wedding shooter with sexy rock star status and an ego to match

Burned by an affair that ended her last career, Stella should know better than to get entangled with Connor during a residential course in a romantic French chateau. But while his arrogance turns her off, his talent turns her on.

Their clashes lead to a whirlwind of passion, but Stella struggles to frame a future with a man who’s come to distrust “happily ever afters” and hides a softer side behind his image. Can Stella learn from her past mistakes and teach Connor about real love before he disappears from the picture?

My Review of Shooters

I really enjoyed this book – the story is a bit more gritty than your average romantic comedy, but I really enjoyed this take on the genre. We are introduced to the main character Stella, and quickly discover that due to having an affair with her boss, and the affair is exposed, she very hastily finds herself having to change careers. Stella decides that this is the perfect time to follow her dream career choice of being one of the most successful wedding shooters. Being determined to be the best means learning from the best. And the best is Connor Knight.

Managing to secure a spot on his residential course, Stella learns incredible tips and tricks of capturing that perfect wedding shot. The more Stella works with Connor at the residential, the more she is attracted to him. There is just one problem. Connor does not believe in the whole love and marriage thing. Stella knows how much she was hurt by her previous situation – she can’t risk it happening all over again.

Shooters is such a fun, sexy, and romantic story. I loved the real depth of the characters, particularly the character of Stella. A really fun story and a must-read from me.
