Author: Hannah Ellis
Genre: Romance
My Rating: 5 out of 5
Synopsis
A weekend away changes everything…
The chemistry between Keira and Noah is instant. After their first date, it’s clear there’s something special between them.
A weekend in Noah’s hometown further cements their feelings, and Keira falls head over heels. Not only for Noah, but his close-knit family and the stunning Isles of Scilly.
There’s just one problem: Noah’s about to move back home and his plans can’t be altered.
It’s too early in their relationship to make life-changing plans, but if they stand a chance of being together, one of them is going to have to take a leap of faith.
Can love triumph over location? And when following your heart, how far should you go?
My Review
The story follows the main characters, Keira and Noah. Noah is a barman at the local pub that Keira and her best friend and flatmate, Mel, visit regularly. When Mel cottons on to the fact that both Noah and Keira are attracted to each other, she makes it her duty to get them together.
It is clear from their first date that they both have feelings for each other, and the more time they spend together, the more it is obvious they are meant for each other. The problem is, that Noah is due to return home to the Isles of Scilly in just a few weeks. And Keira has no idea about his plans.
Both of them have commitments meaning that Keira cant move with Noah, and Noah can’t stay with Keira. Can Keira and Noah survive a long-distance relationship or are they just not meant to be together? The Weekend Getaway is a beautifully written story about finding your soulmate. Heartwarming, full of love, and set in such a beautiful location, it really is a must-read.
