I don’t know about you but sometimes I feel like shaving is such a hassle sometimes, but as someone who suffers from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, shaving really is a total essential for me. Sometimes I will shave every other day or even every day, so having a really good razor is really important – cheap disposable razors usually leave my legs in pieces. When the team at Estrid contacted me and asked if I would like to review their vegan razor starter kit I literally couldn’t have been more excited.
So, who are Estrid?
Estrid is a vegan razor subscription company from Sweden. Each of their razors has been specifically designed for women and offer women the choice of a subscription service for their razors that is not only affordable but they have designed a razor that really works!
The concept is very simple – you pay £7.95 (and free delivery) and you receive the Starter Kit* which contains a steel razor handle, a wall holder and 2 razor cartridges in a choice of 5 adorable pretty colours. You can then choose how often you want to receive replacement cartridges. The replacement cartridges are priced at £9.95 for a pack of 4 and you can easily skip, pause or cancel your subscription at any time – it really is such an easy way to manage your subscription.
The Razor
I absolutely love the Estrid Razor! The razor handle itself is a lovely design – slimline but also feels weighty and substantial when you hold it, with a rubber grip to make holding the razor really easy. The soothing strips on the cartridges help the razor glides across your skin to leave it feeling really soft, silky and hair-free. Each of the cartridges come with 5-blades and a lubricating strip containing aloe vera and shea butter for that perfect, super-smooth shave.
I use the razor for both shaving my legs and under my armpits and it is incredible – it glides so smoothly across my skin without pulling or cutting my skin. I do use a shaving gel most of the time when I shave, but with this razor and the lubricating strip, I really don’t need to use any at all, and my skin is still left smooth and soft and most importantly, hair-free! I was sent the peach colour, which is very cute, but the other colours are Bloom, Cloud, Space and Lemonade.
If you have to shave a lot like me then I can 100% recommend the Estrid Razor for leaving your skin not only hair-free, but totally smooth and soft, and the cartridge subscription service makes it so easy and simple to get your replacement cartridge blades sent to you exactly when you need and want them.
