Talk show host Alec Trakas is the king of bad timing. Case in point, his heartbreaking romance with Brooklyn. Alec was all about commitment but Brooklyn was launching her start-up, and forever wasn’t in the cards. Now a shot at his ultimate dream job depends on convincing Brooklyn to spill the secrets leading to her viral celebrity. It sets Alec’s star rising, but puts Brooklyn in a sea of flirty men. Fate has thrown them back together. Sparks are flying. But is the timing finally right? Because having it all might not be worth the risk of losing each other again.
My Review
I loved the opening of this story – we are introduced to the main character, Brooklyn, as she is at an appointment with her gynecologist and having quite a frank conversation about her chances of having a baby at 42. she is a highly successful businesswoman, running a beauty business with her sister. On the surface, her life is perfect, however, she really wants to have a baby – the small problem is, she is single.
Bumping into her ex-boyfriend, Alec, Brooklyn wonders if it is fate and they really are meant to be together. Alec is a host on a morning breakfast show and also very career-driven and successful. Is the timing right for both of them now? And does he want a child, or will Brooklyn have her heart broken again?
Brooklyn Monroe Wants it All is such a beautifully written story, focusing on a difficult subject in a very delicate and sensitive way. The characters are beautifully written and the storyline is funny, entertaining with lots of humour, love, and romance. A total must-read from me!
