Through the winter months, although we change up our skincare routine for the colder weather, we may not pay as much attention to the rest of our body, which can lead to the skin on our arms and legs becoming very dry and dehydrated. To ensure your skin is soft, supple and protected all year round, using a body oil is essential to help soothe and combat dry skin.
Body Oils can often also be used for a multitude of things, including as a hair mask, to condition your cuticles, and give extra hydration to rough areas like elbows and knees. Here are a few of my favourite body oils for soft and glowing summer skin.
ARK Skincare Conditioning Body Serum (150ml £35.00)*
This beautiful body serum from ARK Skincare is so incredibly silky and has the most incredible spa-like scent leaves me with skin that is glowing and hydrated. The body serum features Abyssinian Oil, Olive Oil, Sacha Inchi Oil and Sweet Almond Oil which are known for their intensive moisturising properties. The body serum, which is like an oil in texture, sinks straight into my skin leaving it feeling and looking soft, glowing and hydrated. The smell is so incredible, you almost feel like you have been to a spa!
Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Radiant Body Oil (100ml £40.00)
I am such a huge fan of Molton Brown and completely love all their products. My favourite range has to be the Orange and Bergamot – I have loved the whole range for years and years. I was so happy when I discovered they did a body oil in the same fragrance. This body oil smells incredible and is enriched with Sevillian neroli oil and bergamot, mandarin and cedarwood aromas. The smell is just out of this world (but maybe I am biased as I am such a fan of the Orange and Bergamot range already) The oil absorbs straight into my skin, and leaves me with soft and smooth skin that both looks and feels dewy and hydrated.
Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Oil (100ml £40.00)
The Frangipani Monoi Body range was one of my favourite first Elemis discoveries. Several years later and several bottles later, I still am completely head over heels in love with the Frangipani Body Oil. The oil is in a solid form in the bottle – you need to submerge the bottle in warm water for the oil to become liquid again. I use this oil mostly in the evenings after a pampering bath or shower.
The fragrance is just incredible and my skin is left feeling so soft and hydrated. I sometimes even add a small amount of the oil to my hair for an extra burst of hydration. If you re looking for something that not only leaves your skin feeling so hydrated but is just such a pampering treat, you MUST try this body oil.
