5 self-care books you need to read

I have always loved reading – I find it really helps me to relax and unwind. Throughout lockdown, I have been trying to read a lot more and now that we are coming out of lockdown, I want to continue reading as much as possible to help me manage everyday stress and help me to relax. I usually love reading romance and women’s fiction books, but recently I have added some self-care books to my collection. In today’s post, I wanted to share with you the new self-care books I have bought and why I think you need to give them a read.

Happy and Calm by Fearne Cotton

Written by the broadcaster Fearne Cotton, Happy and Calm are both essential reads to help find ways of finding joy in everyday life. I often dip in and out of both of these books, as they both offer amazing tips, tricks and insights on managing everyday life and the stresses and strains of modern day life. Calm offers some amazing insight into letting go of the past, and this for me is something I really need to pay attention to. Both of these are amazing to add to your reading list.

Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King

I can not stress enough how much you need to read this book. Good Vibes, Good Life covers all aspects of self-love and self-care, and for me, has absolutely been an essential read. I have struggled for many years with loving and accepting myself as I am. My confidence took a huge battering when my long-term relationship ended. I had lost the person I was and it took me a long time to find who I was again.

This book has not only helped me to rediscover myself again, but also to start believing in myself and to start accepting myself for the person I am. For anyone struggling believing in themselves, I can not recommend this book enough – a must-read.

Holistic Healing by Sally Brockway*

This beautiful book offers advice and practical tips on living an stress-free life. With particularly useful information on introducing meditation into your life, relaxing with yoga and a beautiful self-care routine to follow. Holistic Healing will help you to feel your best and to provide a more wholesome way of living.

Retreat by Sally Brockway*

Relax. Refresh. Restart. This beautiful book is all about finding those special ‘me’ time moments. Retreat is packed with incredible tips and tricks on practising self-care, including gardening, cooking and crafting, to allow for a more relaxed and rejuvenated you.

So those are a few self-care books that I have enjoyed reading. If you are looking for some great reads with some fantastic tips and tricks to follow to practise more self-care in your life, then you need to give these a read.
