I love wearing make up, and pre Corona Virus, I would wear make up every day. I love how even with just a few products, you can make yourself look and feel ready for the day. Like many of us, I haven’t worn a lot of make up at all since lockdown. And now that I am working from home, I kind of feel like I have almost forgotten how to wear make up.
So, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, when the lovely guys at Jolie Beauty got in touch. They asked if I would like to try their new *Second Skin Blushers and Bronzers. The Second Skin range is designed with a beautifully buildable formula, to always give you a beautiful and natural glow.
Who are Jolie Beauty?
The brand has been created by a host of makeup artists who have previously worked at brands including MAC, Illamasqua, Sephora and Clinique. Their aim is to create unique and quality products for makeup lovers and makeup artists.
The Second Skin Range
Designed to be beautifully buildable, the Second Skin range of products consists of five gorgeous shades of blusher, each designed to give you a gorgeous and naturally flushed complexion. There are also three shades of bronzer. Each designed to give a natural sun kissed glow, without looking too heavy.
Packaging
Ok, so we HAVE to talk about this packaging! For someone who loves anything and everything rose gold, this packaging is a dream! The products are all packaged in white and rose gold boxes and are all really well protected with bubble wrap. The compacts themselves are rose gold and look a lot more expensive than they actually are.
Second Skin Powder Blusher – Flushed
I don’t often wear blushers, mostly because I have quite a lot of redness in my skin. Flushed is quite a natural peachy tone, and looks really pretty and actually very natural on my skin. You only need a small amount as it is very pigmented. It blends into the skin really easily and is really easy to build the colour if you want a bit more of a stronger look.
Second Skin Powder Blusher – Rendezvous
Rendezvous is such a gorgeous pretty pink shade. For me, this is my perfect shade – it gives just a little flush of colour, and I don’t look like I have too much colour on my cheeks. Again, the blusher blends really easily into the skin, and lasts all day.
Second Skin Powder Bronzer – Latte
Being quite pale, I wanted a bronzer that would look natural on me, but also give me a bit of a glow. Latte is the perfect shade for me. It is quite light in colour and gives natural glow to my skin. I apply a small amount on a big fluffy powder brush and work it into my skin. You can build the colour easily for a more golden glowy look, but I like quite a natural looking glow to my skin.
Overall I really enjoy using all three of these products. I have been wearing make up a little bit more recently, and these products have now become part of my daily make up routine. The bronzer and blushers are priced at £14.99 each, which I think is really well priced for the amount of product you get, and also for the amazing quality of both the blushers and bronzer.
