Welcome to my June goals. It’s been a few months since I last did a goals post and wow, what a few months we have had! I have been struggling a bit with the UK lockdown situation and not being able to see friends and family. Hopefully things will be getting a bit easier now. Hope you are all safe and well and coping ok in these crazy times.

Blogging
I have really been struggling the last month or so with my blog. Not that I have fallen out of love with blogging – hell no, but I have been struggling with motivation to post and even with ideas on what to post. I didn’t want to fill my blog with everything Corona Virus related, but I also didn’t want to carry on posting as normal and appear insensitive to the situation.
A new month is here which gives me the opportunity to start fresh with my blog and work on some new and hopefully exciting content for the month.
Maintain a posting schedule
My routine has always been to post 3 times a week. With working full-time, I put much pressure on myself, so I am aiming to post consecutively twice a week. Sunday and Wednesday have always been my upload days and that seems to work really well for me.
Work on my social media platforms
Again I think with my lack of motivation for my blog, I have also really neglected my social channels. I need to spend some time throughout June working on each of my social platforms and really engaging with my followers and sharing some fun and positive stuff!
Personal
So, I’m not going to lie – I have been struggling a lot through this lockdown period – not so much in the first few weeks, but certainly the last 3 weeks I have found so hard. I have been feeling quite lonely and really missing seeing my friends and family. You can read my previous post HERE where I talk more about how I am feeling.
With a brand new month it’s the perfect time for me to focus on some really positive goals for the month of June.
Look after myself
Throughout June I am going to make self-care and self-awareness a priority for me. Spending more time on things like meditation, mindfulness and visualisation will really help me to focus. Incorporating some exercise into my daily routine is very important as I have very much been neglecting my overall health.
Spend more time reading
I love reading. I find it very relaxing, even if I can only sit down with a good book for half an hour. It’s just a bit of ‘me’ time and a bit of escapism from everything that is currently going on. I would love to try and read at least one book, if not more this month.
Write in my journal
I have even been struggling to write in my journal the last few weeks and I know that actually hasn’t helped me at all. Journaling has been something I have done for quite a while now. I find it so helpful in helping to make sense of how I am feeling. I want to make a very conscious effort throughout June to write in my journal everyday.
