Things I am adding to my Goals this month

Diary and Phone

January has been a bit of a frantic month for me, and certainly not the way I wanted to start 2020. My job has been very busy and I have been working very long hours in preparation for a week long event in London, so January has gone by in a bit of a blur for me. And because of this, I haven’t had much chance to work on my January goals. February will be a much better month for me so I will be able to spend a lot of time focusing on my goals and the things I want to achieve this month.

Blogging

I completely love my blog and will always be a blogger at heart, despite the fact that people are reading blogs less and less now. That said, I very much feel that I feel that I spent more time worrying about my social media numbers, stats and having the right ‘look and feel’ to work with brands. I stopped enjoying blogging and writing and felt it became more of a chore for me, than something I really enjoyed. This month will see me return to blogging for enjoyment, rather than for numbers and followers.

Publish 2 posts per week

I am taking the pressure away from myself to write and publish 3 posts per week, and reverting back to publishing 2 per week, which I feel for me, with my other commitments in life is a manageable and achievable goal

Work on my Social Media platforms

I am so very grateful to every single one of my followers – thank you so much for sticking with me. One of my overall goals for 2020 is to build all my Social Media platforms including Instagram and Pinterest.

Attend more Blogger events

I was very lucky to be invited to a lot of events in 2019 and I would like to continue working with brands and attending events in 2020. I have a few events coming up in February, so I will share those with you guys.

Personal

2019 was a year that I started taking more care of myself and my own health and well-being. I began following the Slimming World plan and investing more time in my health and weight loss. I want to continue with being more aware of my own physical, mental and emotional health in 2020.

Exercise Regulary

2020 is the year I intend to exercise regularly. I am never going to be a ‘gym-bunny’, however I have got a programme that was created by one of the Personal Trainers at my gym. The programme is a 40 minute cardio session and I am aiming to do this twice a week, along with swimming and a class. I am also going for regular walks in my lunch breaks at work, so I am really trying to increase my exercise and activity on a daily basis. I have also signed up to take part in Swim 22 for Diabetes UK.

Look after me

Throughout 2020, I am going to make self-care and self-awareness a priority for me. Spending more time on things like meditation, mindfulness and visualisation will really help me to focus on myself and my wellbeing even if it’s just for 10 minutes a day.

Write in my journal

I love spending just a few minutes at the end of the day writing in my journal. This for me was one of the biggest and positive changes I made in 20019 and I will be continuing to journal on a daily basis throughout 2020. I have written a guest post over on Do 5 Things a Day all about how journaling has helped my emotional health and to help process thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Have you set yourself any goals for February or any goals/resolutions for 2020? Leave me a comment and let me know what you want to achieve this year.
