So, I realised its been a hot minute since I last updated you guys on my journey of getting fitter, healthier and happier with Slimming World. I know a lot of people will say that losing weight doesn’t equal happiness, and I absolutely and totally agree.
For me, I am on a journey of self-discovery and finding myself again after I have been through a really difficult period in my life, which made me lose all confidence and belief in myself, and I didn’t even really know who I was anymore. Joining Slimming World to help me lose weight was just another part of my journey to getting Sarah back again.
Think I went slightly off on a tangent there!
This is the second time I have followed the Slimming World programme. The last time I did it, I lost just over 5 stone in about 6 months. This time, I am not finding it so easy. Keeping the motivation to keep going is getting harder each day. I want to blame it on the time of the year – as I really do struggle in the Autumn and Winter with energy and motivation in general – but I think it is just an excuse that I am using.

I have been doing Slimming World for just over 5 months now, and my current weight loss is 3 stone and 5 pounds. I know that still is a huge amount of wight to have lost, but I am just frustrated with myself that my motivation is weakening and I am finding it a lot harder to say no and my willpower is being tested – and I am giving in!

The plan? I need to get my arse into gear, and get back to planning my meals like I used to. I also think I need to change up my food that I am eating – now the weather is changing and getting colder, I want to eat warming foods like soups and stews, so I think I need to find some new recipe ideas of low-sun or sun-free meals, but that are warming and filling too.
If any of you guys have any great winter Slimming World recipes or any tips on how to keep motivated to stay on plan at this time of year, please do leave me a comment below.
I’m struggling too. My excuse is the kids stress me so I eat.
My head is swimming with mum stuff and I struggle to meal plan and shop.
It like my brain won’t focus.
Sorry that’s no help to you. Just wanted you to know i feel in a similar way.

Awe thank you Nina. Its always so nice to hear from other people who are following the plan and find out how they are getting on.
I hope you rediscover your motivation again soon. Let me know how you get on x x
I’m not a Slimming World member, but I do follow the WW (formally Weight Watchers) plan, and I’m struggling too. I find myself lacking motivation at the moment. I find what helps me get back on track is to switch up my meal planning.
