Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you are all having a great weekend – whatever you are doing. Sunday used to be a really busy day for me -housework, food shopping and running around trying to get all the little jobs done before Monday came round and back to work again.

I have now realised my weekends are very important to me for rest and recovery. I now make sure I take time out just for me on a Sunday to mentally and physically get myself ready for the following week. Here are my five self care tips to ensure that when you wake up on Monday morning you feel ready to take on the world.
One: Rest and Pamper Yourself
Sunday is the perfect day to treat yourself to a lie-in and catch up on some much needed rest and relaxation. Or treat yourself with a pampering morning of a relaxing bubble bath, apply your favourite face mask, and give yourself at at-home manicure.
Two: Indulge in a Good Book
What better way to take some time out for yourself, than to curl up on the sofa with a good book. One of my apostle favourite ways to relax is spending some time getting lost in the characters and story of a new book.
Three: Get Outside
This is the perfect time of year to soak up the last rays of the summer sunshine, so get outside. Go for a walk or even just sit in the garden with a coffee – the fresh air and sunshine will instantly make you feel more relaxed and at peace.
Four: Meditate
This is not for everyone, but some very simple breathing meditation has really helped. I feel more calm, more relaxed and taken away that Sunday evening anxious feeling I used to get. I have been using the Tapping Solution app but there are many different apps available to download. Give it a try, you may find it as helpful as I have!
Five: Get Prepared
In order to make Monday morning as easy as possible, get prepared the night before. Decide on what outfit you will wear, get your lunch ready, pack your bag ready for work. Doing all these things the night before means Monday morning won’t be such a rush for you.
Do you have a self care routine? What are the ways you practice self care on a Sunday? Let me know in the comments.
I’m actually reading this on a Sunday, so it’s come at the perfect time. I spent this morning having a relaxing bubble bath, with a face mask, and now I’m reading blog posts. It’s the perfect chill day.
