Today’s post is all about my Slimming World journey – so far. I realised that I hadn’t updated you guys on my progress pretty much since I started (oops, my bad!)
This is my second time following the Slimming World plan – the last time I did it, I lost over 5 stone (yep, I know a lot of weight hey!), but life happened, and when I say life, I mean lots of bad, ugly shit happened last year, and I totally lost my way in all aspects of my life. It took me a long time to get myself back on track – but I have, and the last thing on my list to put me right again was to tackle was my weight.
I decided to rejoin Slimming World, as I knew I had been successful following the plan previously, and that once I got started I found it a very easy plan to follow – the main thing with Slimming World is planning and being organised.
I have been following the plan for 13 weeks now, and my total weight loss so far is 2 stone 9 1/2 pounds. I am so pleased with my progress so far. I am feeling motivated, energised and full of life again. I try and plan my meals for the week as much as possible – yes I am aware that sounds quite boring and restrictive to some people – but it works for me, and the proof is in the pudding (as they say!)
The one thing I am struggling a little bit with is exercise. I know that if I do more exercise, this will help with my weight loss, and also with my overall confidence in myself. I may write a separate post about my struggles with feeling good with my body and exercise – let me know if you would want to read that.
I am going on a picnic in a few weeks with some friends – and I really want to stay on plan as much as possible. What’s your go-to food for snacking on at picnics?
