I have been a huge fan of Elemis skincare for such a long time, but I recently had a facial using MONU products and my skin felt amazing after, so I thought I would try out the MONU skincare range. The therapist who did my facial for me selected the best products from the range for my skin type.
The Cleansing Balm contains extracts of Blackcurrant, Rosehip Seed and Almond oils to cleanse the skin and remove all traces of make-up and impurities. The balm smells incredible – with extracts of rose and geranium essential oils. I take a small amount of the balm, which has such a lovely texture, and warm it in my hands before applying it to my skin and massaging in. I massage it all over my face, including my eyes and lips, for a few moments, and then use the muslin cloth provided to remove all my make-up, leaving my skin feeling and looking super clean and fresh.
The Micro Exfoliant contains Papaya Enzymes and Shea Butter to gently polish and exfoliate the skin. I use this twice a week, and massage a small amount of the exfoliant onto my face, concentrating on my problem areas, which are my chin and around my nose, and rinse off. My skin is left feeling smooth and soft, and looks so fresh and glowing.
The Active Toner contains extracts of Pettigrain, Neroli Essential Oil and Witch Hazel to tighten pores and leave the skin feeling revitalised and refreshed. I have been spritzing the toner onto cotton pads and applying all over my face after I have cleansed and exfoliated my skin, leaving it feeling super refreshed. I adore the scent of the toner, so in this super hot weather we have been having, I have spritzed it straight from the bottle over my face to help cool me down – ultimate hydration.
The Recovery Balm contains Evening Primrose and Blackcurrant Seed oils to help leave the skin balanced and hydrated and contains extracts of Soft Rose and Bergamot essential oils, and smells totally dreamy! After completing my cleansing routine, I apply a small amount of the recovery balm to my skin and massage in. My skin is left feeling smooth, fresh and really hydrated.
What Did I Think?
Overall, I am really impressed with the skincare range from MONU – all the products worked perfectly on my skin type and left my skin feeling really fresh, clean and looking good, with no break outs. There is an extensive range of products in the MONU collection, suitable for all skin types. I will definitely be using more products from the MONU range of skincare in the future, and especially as the products are not only all made in the UK, but are made in Cheltenham – my hometown!
