Celebrating 25 years at Clarks Village

As I am sure you will all know, I love nothing more than a little bit of ‘retail therapy’ every now and again, so I recently headed over to the Clarks Village Outlet in Street, Somerset to see if I could grab myself a bargain or two.

Clarks Village is celebrating its 25th year this year and to celebrate, I was given the opportunity to take on the £25.00 challenge – I was super interested to see what I could buy for £25.00, so like any good bargain-hunter, I spent a bit of time with my store guide researching which shops I liked the look of, and with the likes of Next, Marks and Spencer and Joules, I had plenty of choice.

Planning my visit to Clarks Village

The drive from Gloucestershire only took about 90 minutes, and on arrival there was a large car park, with plenty of parking available. Parking is just £3.00 for 5 hours, which is super affordable, but it is a pay and display car park, which meant my partner and I had to literally scrape all our loose change together, as most places we go to have a pay on exit system, and we usually pay by card, so just make sure you take some change with you for the car park.

I remember going to Carks Village when it very first opened (I won t say how old I was!) but my mum bought me a pair of trainers from the Clarks Shop, I was very excited to see what had changed since my last visit. The very first shop I saw was The Cosmetics Company Store, this was like heaven to me, a shop full of beauty products from the likes of MAC, Clarins and Glam Glow. Next we headed into the Superdry store, not one of my personal favourites, but my boyfriends LOVES it! He bought a holdall style bag reduced from £40.00 to £19.00 – total bargain.

Marks and Spencer

Marks and Spencer was next on the list, and here I found my bargains of the century. I picked up a beautiful black and white wrap dress, reduced from £28.00 to £10.00 – yes I know £10.00, and also a beautiful blue top, reduced from £17.50 to £12.00.

I headed to the Fiorelli shop, where I spotted the handbag of my dreams, but stupidly didn’t buy it, and I have been kicking myself ever since! We took a little break from shopping for a bit of lunch – there are plenty of restaurants on site, like Prezzo, Pizza Express and Frankie & Benny’s. After a bit of lunch and refuelling, we headed to The Beauty Outlet, where I used the last but of my voucher and bought some fab bits on make-up, all at great outlet prices.

Heading home, both my partner and myself were super happy with our bargains – him with a new Superedry bag, and me with a new dress, new top and some fab bits of make-up – all for £25.00

*I was kindly gifted the £25 Clarks Village voucher, however all opinions are my own.
