I am a big fan of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, but recently there have been several different versions of the infamous Hot Cloth Cleanser released – Superdrug and Boots have created their own versions, but I didn’t realise that the supermarket Aldi had released their own version. Priced at just £3.99, I couldn’t resist giving it a try!
I love the idea of a Hot Cloth Cleanser because it leaves my skin feeling really clean and fresh, but without drying out my skin.
Is this a dupe for the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish?
The Aldi version definitely doesn’t have the luxurious packaging that the Liz Earl product has, but for £3.99 I wasn’t really expecting it to really. The product itself comes in a 200ml tube, along with a muslin cloth. The cleanser smells amazing, and is really gently on my skin. The cleanser removed the majority of my make-up, and I was able to take the cleanser over my eyes without causing any stinging or sensitivity.
Aldi’s cleanser contains extracts of cocoa butter to soften and condition the skin, with rosemary, chamomile, white tea and eucalyptus oil and is suitable for all skin types, as well as sensitive skin. My skin was left feeling cleansed, clean and fresh, and the best bit my skin was not left feeling dry or tight, which I was worried may have happened.
My overall thoughts on the Aldi Hot Cloth Cleanser – I really love it. To me, it does exactly what the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish does, and leaves my skin feeling super clean and fresh and priced at £3.99 – its a total winner for me.
