L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask

Ever since L’Oreal released their trio of clay- based face masks, I have been desperate to try one out.
I went for the Clay Detox Mask, as I struggle with oily skin and I get quite a few breakouts. The mask claims to ‘act like a magnet to draw out impurities’, so I felt this would be the best one for my skin type.
I don’t think I have ever used a face mask before that is in such pretty packaging as this is – a square glass container in a shimmery green colour, The packaging means that the face mask always remains neat and tidy and with no build up (which can happen with a face mask in a tube)

The mask contains 3 key ingredients in helping to detox the skin:

Koalin – A highly effective clay that absorbs impurities and excess sebum
Montmorillonite – This clay helps to eliminate imperfections
Ghassoul – This clay is known to have properties to help clarify the skin tone and texture

I applied a thin layer of the mask all over my face – avoiding my eyes and lip area.  I left the mask on for about 10 minutes (I kept myself occupied by shaving my legs whilst I waited for it to dry!)

Excuse the horrific photo!

Removing the face mask was really easy – I used my muslin cloth that came with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and the mask came off really easily, leaving my skin feeling super refreshed and clean feeling.
I have used the face mask 5 or 6 times over a 2 week period, and I can definitely see and feel a difference in the tone and texture of my skin. My skin feels less oily and I have had less breakouts around my chin area.
Safe to say, this face mask is a huge winner in my book, and a product that I will continue to use.
The 3 clay masks are available to buy in Boots stores, or online here.
Have you used any of the L’OrĂ©al Clay Masks? Which one is your favourite? Leave me a comment and let me know.
