September – how did you get here so quickly?
I always feel a bit of a sense of loss when September comes around – a bit like mourning really, it’s a mark of the summer being over, and drawing to the close of another year of my life.

Does anyone else feel like that, or is it just me?

I use the change of the season to take time out to reflect on my year so far, and my goals for the rest of the year, and for 2017.

2016 Reflection – So Far

2016 has been a really busy and really good year for me so far . . .

  1. My boyfriend and I bought our first house together and have been buying furniture and accessories to make it our ‘home’. I love it so much
  2. My boyfriend and I got our beautiful cat together. We adopted him from the RSPCA, and it’s safe to say he has become a very spoilt little kitty!
  3. I have found my love for blogging again. I took some time away from blogging for quite a long time due to personal reasons, but this year I have really started concentrating on my blog and writing again, and I am loving it!
  4. I have always struggled with my self-confidence, and although I feel I have been managing it better, I know I still have work to do in this area.
2016 Looking Forward – the next 4 months

I have lots of amazing things coming up, and lots of goals I want to achieve . . .

  1. My boyfriend and I are going on holiday in 3 weeks to Lanzarote.  To say I am excited is definitely an understatement.  We had agreed that due to having a very expensive year, we wouldn’t have a holiday, and would wait until 2017.
  2. Spend more time working on my Blog, and posting regularly
  3. Focus on increasing my Twitter followers
  4. Focus on increasing my Instagram followers.
  5. Spend time looking after myself – making sure I have regular ‘me’ time, and pamper evenings, especially good when its a cold winter’s night
  6. Make sure I go to the gym at least twice a week – I have really been neglecting my own health and wellbeing recently, but I know that now is the time to take stock of this and make corrections.
  7. Spend more time with my lovely man, and have proper ‘Date Nights’ again.
  8. Try and enjoy the rest of the year and work hard to get to where I want to be.
I have lots of really good things coming up, and lots of plans and goals to work towards, so September – Bring It On!
