Bucket List??

It’s funny isn’t it, the term Bucket List – I always thought it was for people who were terminally ill and wanted to achieve all their dreams before they were cruelly taken away from their loved ones.

Just recently, I have realised that we all can have our Bucket List’s, regardless of age or health.  You see, having dreams and aspirations doesn’t just have to be for people whose lives will be sadly taken away from them way before they should be.

Over the last year and a bit, I have experienced one of the toughest times I could ever imagine going through, and I’m just about ready to face life again head on, but this time, I have decided that I WILL achieve, or work to achieve some of my dreams in life.

This got me thinking, I remember setting up a Things To Do Before I am 50 list, with www.my50.com which I had completely forgotten about, until thinking about writing this post, I logged on to my list for the first time in a few years, so here is a snippet of my still to be completed Bucket List . . .

1. Be happy with myself – I have always struggled with a lack of confidence in myself and my abilities, and I see this as a big set back to why I am not where I want to be in life currently.
2. Travel – So many beautiful places in the world that I could only dream of seeing, but I don’t just want to dream about them – I want to be there experiencing the amazing cultures and sights of some of the most amazing places in the world.
3.  Write a novel – This is one of my most passionate dreams.  I love writing – losing myself in my characters’ made up world,  wondering how their lives will turn out – will they get their happy ever after?
4. Drink Champagne – I would love that one special moment in my life, where drinking Champagne is quite simply the only thing to do.

So, here is to hopefully a very full Bucket soon!!
